Tom Lokey is a licensed realtor at Coastal Properties Group - Christies International Real Estate. Tom specializes in luxury and waterfront properties in Clearwater, Belleair, the beaches and surrounding communities. As a sales professional and Pinellas County resident for over 40 years, Tom is not only an expert in Clearwater real estate, but is also intimately familiar with the local community and what it has to offer.
He is known in the Clearwater area for his career as an automobile dealer, and as a part of the Lokey family, he has owned and operated several dealerships in Clearwater. Other business ownership experience include two property and Casualty insurance agencies, a golf course, and other business investments in the area.
Since selling his automobile dealership, Lokey has been working in the Pinellas business community and building his real estate career. He is now a full-time realtor and has earned the Certified Distressed Property Expert® designation, which provides homeowners with expertise in short sales and foreclosure prevention. He also offers clients real estate financing recommendations, negotiation strategies and helps them communicate with lenders, appraisers and title companies.
Tom says he became part of the Jansen Real Estate Team because the group has the same energy and approach to client service that he has. "We listen first, then do the leg work for our clients," he explains. "Our goal is to tailor each deal for a win-win result. Being part of a great industry and helping people get results is what I love to do."
Tom grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida and attended Stetson University graduating with a degree in Business. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After college, he servered in the U.S. Air Force as an navigator during the Vietnam era.
Over the years, Lokey has served the community well as president of Belleair Country Club, Commodore of Carlouel Yacht Club, Director of the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce, Director of Hunter Blood Center and Chairman of the Transitions PGA Golf Tournament.
He lives in Belleair with his wife, Marilyn. They have two children, Michael and Kingsley, a daughter-in-law, Meg, and a grandson, Max.
